YOU DON’T TRULY KNOW GOD UNTIL YOU KNOW HIS HEART.
Knowing God’s name, His miracles, and His Word is powerful but truly knowing who He is requires intimacy with His heart. His heart reveals His love, His mercy, and His desire for relationship with us. Without understanding His heart, our faith risks becoming mechanical, intellectual, or performance-based.
Scriptures that reveal the heart of God:
- Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”
- Psalm 103:8 “The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.”
- John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…”
To truly know God’s heart, we must draw near not just in theology, but in spirit. His heart breaks for the lost, the broken, and the overlooked. His passion for justice and mercy isn’t abstract it’s active, tender, and personal. Jesus modeled God’s heart in every healing, rebuke, and act of compassion. And when we align our lives with His heart, we stop asking “What would Jesus do?” and start responding with “Lord, let me feel what You feel.”
Key truths about God’s heart:
- His love is sacrificial, not transactional.
- His mercy flows even when judgment is deserved.
- His heart desires communion not just compliance.
Pastor Adam, I urge every believer: don’t settle for knowing about God pursue knowing Him. Know His voice. Know His values. Know His grief and His joy. That’s where transformation happens. That’s where healing begins. And that’s where your walk with Him becomes a daily overflow of His heart living in you.
